On-Platform QR Code Design
Netflix approached our agency with a desire to extend new episodes of the classic show Unsolved Mysteries onto social. I presented the idea that we post a custom QR code after each episode before the credits, driving to a secret drive with bonus case files. Ultimately, we landed on a lock-and-key design that can be seen to this day on all Season 3 episodes to this day. Below are some creative directions that didn’t make it to final.
JULY, 2023 UPDATE: After recognizing a missing child from Season 3 of Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix, a North Carolina gas station attendant alerted law enforcement who quickly located the girl from Illinois who had been missing for six years.
