Venue Logo & Branding
I started my design career at Live Nation, designing posters and social advertisements for all of the House of Blues as well as other venues. One of my final projects was branding Live Nation's newest venue: the Mercury Ballroom in Louisville, Kentucky, located in the city's bustling Fourth Street Live! district.
The logo keeps the shield motif present on the facade of the historic Wright and Taylor Building alive, mixed with a modern 'M' mark. Expressions of the complex moulding are present in the branding throughout the concourse and venue hall.
Now, ten years on, the mark still hangs over each crowd as they sing, cheer, and cry during the best nights of their lives.
